Gábor Lehel, General Manager of UNION Biztosító, joined Vienna Insurance Group in 2003 as an employee of the General Secretariat. In 2005, he set-up the Group Controlling, before being appointed as Head of the General Secretariat in 2006. Gábor Lehel has been a Member of the UNION Biztosító Managing Board since 2008. He studied business management with an emphasis on finance in Tatabánya and Budapest. Since January 2016 he has been a deputy member for the Managing Board.
Dr. Philipp Bardas has 9 years’ experience in the field of Insurance and since February 2012 is appointed as Head of the General Secretariat, position that was renamed as General Secretary of Donau Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group in April 2015. Before that he was working at the General Secretariat of Donau Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group (2010-2012) and in the Legal Department of Wiener Städtische AG Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group (2008-2010). The General Secretariat is directly subordinate to the entire board of directors and is responsible for interdepartmental projects, the coordination of the board meetings and Solvency II agendas. Mr. Bardas holds a Law Degree and PhD in Law. He is part of VIG Leadership Development Program.
